Linda Collins

My passion for quilting began at my Grandmothers knee, inspiring a life long love affair with all things craft. Trying many different ones over the years, till finally returning to my one true love…..Quilting. I enjoy studying and reproducing antique quilts, inspired by quilters from the past, using age old techniques, beautiful fabrics, and fostering a similar love in my students. Having an extensive collection of Antique quilts, from which l draw inspiration, for both color combinations, design and inspiration. Its the fabrics that always draw the biggest attention. l love to share them both is small group situations and in large group gatherings. And as time goes on, and my collection grows, l am building stories of quilt types and styles, that l will be able to build Lectures around. My antique quilt collection is available for Guild meetings for presentations.

My first quilt was published in 2008, in Australian Country Craft and Decorating. Since then, l have had more than 25 quilts, both antique and my own designs, published in Australian magazines and Quiltmania.

In April 2016, l released my first template set based on an antique quilt in my collection. Since then, l have released several further sets related to quilts in my book ” Treasures From The Barn”

l continue to develop more templates sets, and will be releasing several more in the coming months. l  will post about them here on our website.

Quiltmania in France published my first book ‘Treasures from the Barn’ in April 2016.
